 The mission of the Mount Union Fire Company is to protect life, property, and the environment through rapid, professional emergency response, fire prevention, and public education. As a dedicated volunteer organization, we are committed to serving our community with courage, integrity, and compassion while fostering a culture of teamwork, preparedness, and public trust.

We strive to provide the highest level of service, safeguard our neighbors in times of crisis, and uphold the proud traditions of the fire service through continuous training, accountability, and community engagement.

You decide your comfort level. Some members:

• Never respond to emergency calls and only help with fundraising 
• Only assist at community events   
• Only handle exterior or support work at scenes 
• Or later choose to train for more active roles if they want

There is zero requirement that every volunteer becomes an interior firefighter. Departments need people who simply want to help the community in other ways.
